Hi my name is Finian,I have a dog thats called Titch and a goldfish called Gold tooth.
I have a pool and a spa, the pool is good to have on sunny days because we can jump in any time!
I have a nintendo wii and a play station 2, if I'm lucky I get to play on them after school.
I have a brother who is a year or so younger than me,we have lots of lego so we can battle each other.We have space police,Indiana Jones,Starwars,Exoforce and
other lego like that.
our garden is a good sized garden so we can play rugby and soccer.I play in a rugby team at College Rifles my team has lots of people from school and lots of peole who aren't from school. I started playing when I was five, I've been playing tackle rugby for the last two years going onto the third.
i'm also going to be starting tennis at Collage Rifles this term.
My maths goal is to know my equivalent fractions including halves,thirds and quaters. I am going to achieve this by:
practicing my equivalent fractions on mathletics,
getting my mum to write out some fractions and equivalent fractions,
focus on my fractions in maths as much as I can also practice my halves,thirds and quaters.
My class went to the Waitakarie rainforest express.

Yesterday me,Sam,Thomas and Tom went to tennis in Mt Eden for the field day.There were lots of different sports you could play like touch,cricket,softball and tennis. Me and Thomas played doubles in the year five B team while Sam and Tom played doubles in the A team on a different court. In our first game against kings we won 11-6. In our second game against RPS we lost 10-17. In our third game against St kents we won 19-10. We had a fantastic time!!!!!
12/04/11 On saturday and sunday me,my dad,my mum and my brother went to waeheke. We entered a fishing contest that took place from 6am on saturday to 2pm on sunday. There was one fish that was particularilly big and that was only one of the fish I caught. It was a six pound trevally!!!! When we were coming back to weigh our fish we saw a pod of 11 or so dolphins. Once we past the pod of dolphins we were looking around when we saw something floating in the water. We got our boat close to the thing we saw a... dead dolphin!

Today our friends from England that came over on the 21st left.
We climbed Rangitoto with them,we got there on a big city ferry and climbed up to a summit on top of the mountain.
Then we went into the lava caves and climbed through big caves as dark as space.
19/05/11 In 3 days it's goning to be my birthday!!!!!!!!! I'm going to be 10 and I'm sending invitations to the people I would like to come. Don't worry if you don't get invited there's allways next year!!

0n Sunday we went to Waihekie where we have a batch.
On Monday morning I decided to go down to the stream under the bridge at the end of our section.
We looked around and saw an eel! I got a fishing rod with a worm on it and dropped it right beside the eel.
At first the eel wasn't intrested but then it started getting hungry!
The eel had a nibble and suddenly I had him on!But with one swift shake of his head he got off.
Then we tried getting in the water and catch it with a bucket. We tried and tried but the eel was to fast,the eel kept coming
up to my brothers shoes and sort of sniffed them!My brother thought."He might be friendly" So he put his finger down to pat it.
But the eel didn't like that so he bit my brothers finger! THE END
doctor ratings HOW I MADE THE RANGI MASK:I made my mask by cutting out carboard and sticking it on.Then I spray painted it and added ditail.I also made a beard to make him look older. WHAT WAS CHALLENGING:spray painting the beard without spraying the other bits.Also trying to get my lightning strikes looking good. WHAT DID I LEARN:I learnt how to clean up your mistakes,and to make a detailed mask. WHAT DID I ENJOY:I enjoyed finding equipment for my mask and making the paper mache beard.

Last Thursday the performing arts was on.
I loved Glee,Stomp,y4 dance and senior dance.Stomps song was "keep it in the time".
Well done to everyone that was performing.
A couple of weeks ago I went to a show at Vector Drena.It was called "Walking With Dinosaurs".
It was a show of dinosaurs and other prehistoric creatures and plants that lived at the same time.It had huge dino puppets
that were almost life sized and that were controlled by heaps of people and posibly were remote controled!!!
There was a T-rex,Ankylosaurus,Stegosaurus,Ornithocheirus,Utaraptor,Liliensternus,Plateosaurus,Allosaurus,Brachiosaurus and Torosaurus.I really enjoyed the show!

Last Wednesday I went to college rifles for an attempt to brake the world record of the biggest scrum.
I got to keep a jersey,goodie bag and some of the allblack's signatures.I loved the time and we were able to brake the record.In the goodie bag you got a
weet-bix bowl, a pack of weet-bix, a book that tells you about all the allblack players and holds your cards and 6 cards that you can get from eating
weet-bix.

Finally,it's the holidays and there's no more school untill two weeks are over!!
I've been having a great time being able to sleep in every morning and going to the movies.
Today I watched Cars 2.

Yesterday I went to the cross-country zones. I had a great time and I even came 8th out of about 70 people!
It was at Shore road and luckily it wasn't too muddy. We had to run just over 2km around the park.
I felt almost dead and like I was going to vomit! I am very proud of myself and I am very happy with my results.

yesterday(Saturday) I played in a rugby tournament down at Coledge Rifles.
In the tournament my team played about four or five games but I got to play a couple more in my younger brothers team because I am light enough to play.
It was really fun because at the end we got to play a game of full field not half field and 15 players on at a time not 10 players.
It was good because it was nice and sunny and there was hardly any wind.

Two days ago I went to the opening ceremony and game.The opening ceremony was absolutely awesome and very cool to watch live.
The Allblacks where lucky with there win because of there bad play in the second half.I am going to all the games in eden park and a couple in hamilton.
Everything was a lifetime expierience and I will never forget about how good it was.I felt really good when I was watching the opening ceremony because I knew it was a one in
a life time chance,and most people wouldn't be there.
I really hope that our class wins the I-pad.thanks to all the people in my class we are on track to winning.
Tuesday 13 SeptemberToday I represented the school in the winter field day (soccer).The first game my team played was against Saint Kents.Sadly my team lost 0,2.The next game we played against Epsom we tied 0,0!!After those two games we started to get our roll on.The game after that we played dilworth, and we won 2,0!The next game was the last game we where going to play in our pool, and...we won!Now we only had to find out who won out of Epsom Normall and another team.If the other team won than we would be through to the semi-finalsBut if Epsom Normall won they would be through to the semi-finals and not us.But luckily the other team won!!!!!We had got through to the semi's and had to vs Viki Ave.The semi-finals was a tough game my team gutsed it out and went on to beat Viki Ave.Now we where down to our last game and had to vs Saint Kents.Sadly like in the first game we played,we lost.DON,DON,DOON.I had a great time and will try and be there again next year.I feel really proud of my team and myself.
